On May 5, 2018, from 10: 30-18:00, DIGINET-PS will be presented to the public at the “Open Day” in the Bundesrat. The Federal Council opens doors for citizens on Saturday to give them an insight into the tasks and history of the Bundesrat. You can visit exhibited art objects and ask the President of the Bundesrat, Michael Müller, during a round table discussion in the plenary hall. A varied program for all ages is offered.
The digital test track for autonomous driving in urban areas (DIGINET-PS) is presented as one of the research projects for digitization. In the middle of Berlin, from the Ernst-Reuter-Platz over the Straße des 17. Juni to the Brandenburger Tor runs the test track for automated and networked driving “DIGINET-PS”. An open and complex street will be equipped with sensors, digitized and networked. Three components: the vehicle, the road and the cloud are brought together. The aim is not only to have intelligent vehicles on the roads, but also to create intelligent environments for autonomous vehicles and to support them in their decision-making. With the “DIGINET-PS” test track, citizens can gain an insight into what “driving without a driver” will look like and express questions and requests.
